Charles Beno updates his saloon, tearing out a partition and lengthening the hall for a bowling alley in Oct 1872.
The saloon on the 1883 Sanborn map at 370 15th Street is the same address as 214 W 15th Street today (See 1886 map). By December 1876, Beno's Brewery and Bowling Alley was doing a fine business. Reference to George Beno and George Bescherer (Beschner) as managers and or owners in later years. This location also had pool tables, a shooting gallery and orchestrion. This bowling alley organized Wyoming's first bowling club (I believe) in March 1878. |
